As a 3 bedroom cottage nestled in the Australian Bush, Staghorn Cottage offers all the amenities of your home away from home, including a fully equipped kitched, bathroom, and TV lounge. The verandas overlook the creek flat and seasonal waterway, and with a campfire area the cottage is the ideal spot to relax.

Front Veranda

With plentiful space and cocktail seating, the roofed front veranda is an ideal chill out space for your morning break or afternoon drinks.  Looking out over a grassed yard area and creek flat plenty of room for kids to play, or you to just relax.

Entertainment Area 

The elevated entertainment area with lounge, television and stereo includes a small library with a range of fiction and non-fiction books for all ages.  Bring your own DVDs and media if you want to indulge in screen time in the peace and quiet.

Lounge / Dining

The dining area adjoins the kitchen, with a 4-place classic wooden dining table, a casual lounge, and space for an additional table if additional guests are expected (enquire on booking). Crockery and cutlery is equipped for your dining needs.

Firepit & Cookout 

A paved outdoor seating area with benches and a firepit is perfect for cookouts under night skies. Light pollution from the city is blocked by the hills here and the stars seem barely metres away, so take advantage of a campfire dinner and fire at your back to enjoy stargazing in the outdoor space.

Bespoke Bathroom

Custom designed by on-site artist Kerry, the bespoke bathroom features stunning hand-sculpted mosaics and antique furnishings trimming a spacious shower and fully stocked accoutrements.

Kitchen

Furnished with a gas cooktop, small electric oven, microwave and fridge-freezer, the kitchen is fully stocked with cutlery, crockery and cooking basics, with extra settings for family and friends and enough tea cups to settle down for a cuppa any time you wish. Gallery windows feature a fine view of the grandfather staghorn from which this cottage gets its name.

Main Bedroom

In the main bedroom, you can watch wildlife through the large windows from the queen bed. Linen is provided, along with tallboy cupdoard space and a sitting chair for morning coffee. The quiet is complimentary, and don't mind the wallabies as they certainly won't pay any mind to you.

Second Bedroom

With a view over the creek flats, the Second Bedroom features antique furnishings, including double bed, dresser and duchess. With personal doors to the front veranda and a large viewing window you have front-of-house views for sun rise over the mountains, or simply a spot to curl up and enjoy the morning mists on the flats.

Bunk Bedroom

A kids favourite, the Bunk Bedroom has space for at least three with a double lower level and upper single bed. A chest of draws allows everyone a little storage for themselves, and a craft desk awaits craft time for all ages. Again, linen is provided or bring your child's preferred snuggle blankets.  Separated from other rooms by the entertainment area, this is the ideal space for a family sleepover.
